  1. Find a spot outdoors and cover nearby items with drop cloths or old sheets to protect them from spray mist.
  2. Using a foam roller apply the Rust-Oleum® Chalkboard Paint to the piece of tree bark. Avoid excessive brushing or rolling. Use light, even stokes to
  3. Ensure an even and the smoothest finish. The chalkboard finish is ready to be used after 3 days. Before writing, condition the surface by rubbing the side of a piece of chalk over entire area and erase.
  4. For the basket, hold the paint can 10-16” from the surface. Press the trigger and begin covering the iron basket with Rust-Oleum® Universal Metallic Spray Paint in Oil Rubbed Bronze, in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke.
  5. Apply 2 or more light coats a few minutes apart. For best results, apply multiple light coats versus one heavy coat.
  6. Tape off the bottom ends of the acorns with painter’s tape, and spray the top half with the Rust-Oleum® Universal Metallic Spray Copper Spray Paint. Apply two to three light coats.
  7. Spray the mini gourds with the Rust-Oleum® Painter's® Touch Ultra cover 2X Satin Spray in Satin Eden. Apply two to three light coats.
  8. Let dry overnight.
