- Find a spot outdoors and cover nearby items with drop cloths or old sheets to protect them from spray mist.
- Using a foam roller apply the Rust-Oleum® Chalkboard Paint to the piece of tree bark. Avoid excessive brushing or rolling. Use light, even stokes to
- Ensure an even and the smoothest finish. The chalkboard finish is ready to be used after 3 days. Before writing, condition the surface by rubbing the side of a piece of chalk over entire area and erase.
- For the basket, hold the paint can 10-16” from the surface. Press the trigger and begin covering the iron basket with Rust-Oleum® Universal Metallic Spray Paint in Oil Rubbed Bronze, in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke.
- Apply 2 or more light coats a few minutes apart. For best results, apply multiple light coats versus one heavy coat.
- Tape off the bottom ends of the acorns with painter’s tape, and spray the top half with the Rust-Oleum® Universal Metallic Spray Copper Spray Paint. Apply two to three light coats.
- Spray the mini gourds with the Rust-Oleum® Painter's® Touch Ultra cover 2X Satin Spray in Satin Eden. Apply two to three light coats.
- Let dry overnight.
