Chic Storage Container
• Find a well ventilated spot to work in and cover nearby items with drop cloths
to protect them from overspray.
• Using painter’s tape, tape off a section of the outside of the storage container.
Do not paint the inside of the storage container. Peel Coat has not been tested
or approved for direct food contact and should not be used on surfaces that
come in direct contact with food.
• Cover the half that you do not want exposed to the coating with a sheet of paper to
protect from overspray or flip container upside so the opening is not exposed.
• Apply Peel Coat to the surface. Hold the paint can 30cm from the surface. Press
the spray button and begin lightly covering the surface in a steady back-and forth
motion, slightly overlapping each stroke.
• The first coat should be applied very light, with 50% coverage. That means
that you can still see about half of the bowl through your first coat of paint.
• Apply 5-6 light coats, waiting 2-3 minutes between each coat. The more coats
applied the easier the coating is to remove.
• Remove the painter’s tape from the surface while the final coat is still wet.
• Once you’re finished, display your custom storage containers. When it’s time
for a new colour, simply peel away, clean and recoat. It is recommended to
remove coating within 3 months of application.
